Single Channel Electronic Pipettes

  Single Channel Electronic Pipettes

Powered single-channel electronic pipettes used with disposable pipette tips to transfer a precise amount of liquid. The measurements are typically pre-programmed and may be programmable to your laboratory needs. Moreover, this allows for efficient and repeatable amounts. Includes positive-displacement and repeating pipettes.
When accuracy and ergonomics are a top priority look no further than the incredibly versatile single-channel electronic pipettes. The mere invention of these lab instruments completely revolutionized the way chemists handle liquid in the lab. These pipettes can now be found in all types of laboratories ranging from academic to pharmaceutical and state of the art labs.

Electronic Pipettes Save Time

Increased productivity is what these pipettes are known for. To help free up time for more important tasks, scientists use electronic pipettes that way they spend less of their valuable hours in the lab pipetting. Furthermore, some protocol steps require reagents to be added to reaction wells on an average 96 well plate all while being quick and accurate. This is where you can program your pipettes to do your protocol for you.

Increase Ergonomics With Electronic Pipettes

Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) should be on every scientists’ mind as it can be a common occurrence in the lab. Because of that, ergonomics has become a huge talking point. We are now more aware of just how important ergonomics is to our overall well being. Scientists, in particular, can easily develop thumb, wrist and shoulder pain from excessive pipetting. Switching to single-channel electronic pipettes will greatly reduce that risk. Although, originally these types of pipettes were a lot heavier, thanks to advancements in plastics they are now significantly more lightweight.

Increased Accuracy & Precision

Digital display and motor operations allow the user to be confident that the electronic pipette is dispensing the perfect amount of fluid that you specified, not just once but consistently. This is very important for experiments that require reproducible results.

It helps eliminate the obvious gap that most people have on the sides of their face when wearing a surgical mask. Link: https://grabcad.com/library/suquo-systems-surgical-mask-ear-bypass-1

HealthyPi

The HealthyPi was designed with not just one application in mind, but a variety of them. While it does function as a vital sign monitor for traditional patient monitoring applications, it can also be used for several other applications. You can use it with a Raspberry Pi using a display; use it with a Raspberry Pi with the official touchscreen using our “Complete Kit,” or you can use it standalone by connecting it to any computer’s USB port. The software is compatible across all platforms.                                                                         Resources: https://github.com/Protocentral/protocentral-healthypi-v3 http://healthypi.protocentral.com

Sterilising Lamp by Frank Chou

Frank Chou's Sterilising Lamp combines an ultraviolet (UV) light with a tray, and would ideally be kept by the entrance to the user's home for them to put items in such as their mobile phone, keys or wallet as they enter the room. The user would press the cover body to activate the internal UV light source, the body then lowers to cover the items in the tray with the UV light. After 60 seconds the cover automatically rises to reveal the now-sterilised items again. Frank Chou aimed to create an "unconscious design" when creating the lamp, which he hopes can blend into the home and become part of people's daily routine, as opposed to a disinfection method that they consciously have to think about doing.
